CIS has a thriving and vibrant Arts programme which is integral to school life. We adopt a two-pronged approach to the arts: the curricular or classroom experience and extracurricular activities and performances. Arts activities (music, dance, drama and visual art) allow our students to explore, shape and communicate their sense of identity and understanding of the world, while developing creativity, self confidence, resilience and adaptability.
Showcasing creativity
and talent
Within our curricular and co-cuuricular arts programmes, each student functions as an artist as well as a learner of the arts. Students create, perform and present in ways that engage and convey feeling, experiences and ideas. They acquire new skills and master those developed in prior learning. In all three arts subject areas, students use process journals to record and reflect on their learning.
